Die Agave tequilana<\/em> ist eine in Mexiko beheimatete Pflanze, die einen Durchmesser von bis zu zwei Metern erreichen kann. Wegen der Farbe ihrer Bl\u00e4tter wird sie auch \u201eBlaue Agave<\/strong>\u201c genannt. Sie wird in der Ern\u00e4hrung, aber auch in der Kosmetik genutzt. Was ist \"blaue Agave\"?<\/h2>\n

Unsere Fructane der Agave stammen aus Mexiko, der urspr\u00fcnglichen Heimat der Pflanze. Die Agave kann in trockenem und halbtrockenem Klima \u00fcberleben, weil sie die F\u00e4higkeit besitzt, Energie in ihrem fleischigen Kern zu speichern, und zwar in einer besonderen Zuckerform, den Fructanen. Bis zur Ernte vergehen acht bis zw\u00f6lf Jahre. In dieser Zeit pflegen die Bauern die Pflanzen sorgf\u00e4ltig, um ihr Wachstum zu f\u00f6rdern. In ihrem \u201ePflanzenherz\u201c sammelt die Agave in dieser Phase langsam immer mehr Fructane an, die ihr helfen, sich zu entwickeln, weiter zu wachsen und den extremen klimatischen Bedingungen standzuhalten.<\/p>\n

Sobald die Konzentration an Fructanen ihren H\u00f6chststand erreicht hat, werden die Bl\u00e4tter der Agave entfernt und das auch \u201ePi\u00f1a\u201c (spanisch f\u00fcr Ananas, weil es \u00e4hnlich aussieht wie die Frucht) genannte Herz wird geerntet, um die Fructane daraus zu gewinnen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Wozu dient die Agave in der Kosmetik?<\/h2>\n

Unser Team f\u00fcr die Pflanzen-Kosmetik\u00ae hat die geheime Kraft der Agave tequilana<\/em> entdeckt: ihren hohen Gehalt an Fructanen<\/strong>, welche die Pflanze mit Energie versorgen<\/strong>. Die Fructane der Agave als Wirkstoff in der Kosmetik sind eine Neuheit. Sie wirken in der Kopfhaut; genau dort, wo das Haar seine Kraft sch\u00f6pft. Dadurch kann die Mikrozirkulation<\/strong> der Kopfhaut verdoppelt* und die Haarzwiebel besser mit N\u00e4hrstoffen versorgt werden. Wusstet ihr schon?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die bekannteste und symboltr\u00e4chtigste Verwendung dieser Pflanze ist f\u00fcr die Herstellung von Tequila<\/strong>. Die Pflanzen der Gattung Agave tequilana<\/em><\/strong> (f\u00fcr die Tequila-Herstellung) oder Agave angustifolia<\/em><\/strong> (f\u00fcr die Herstellung von Mezcal) werden nach rund zw\u00f6lfj\u00e4hrigem Wachstum geerntet. Auch hier werden die fleischigen Bl\u00e4tter entfernt und nur das Herz (die \u201ePi\u00f1a\u201c) wird genutzt. Nach einer mehrt\u00e4gigen Dampfgarung wird das Herz ausgepresst und der so gewonnene Saft anschlie\u00dfend geg\u00e4rt. Dieses alkoholhaltige Getr\u00e4nk nennt sich \u201ePulque\u201c oder \u201eMaguey\u201c und wird destilliert, um daraus Tequila, den typischen mexikanischen Schnaps zu gewinnen.<\/p>\n

Auch Agavendicksaft<\/strong> wird haupts\u00e4chlich aus Pflanzen der Gattung Agave tequilana<\/em> gewonnen. Er entsteht durch einen langen Prozess, bei dem der Saft der Agave, das sogenannte Aguamiel, eingedickt wird. Der so entstandene Agavensirup enth\u00e4lt sehr viel Fructose und wird als Ersatz f\u00fcr Haushaltszucker eingesetzt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
