The perfect post-summer make-up look

A look to get back to work in style !

A look to get back to work in style

Start by applying the perfect Skin Foundation Primer to add radiance to the complexion.

To prep the skin for make-up, apply it after your moisturizer, under your foundation or only on the areas of your face you'd like to highlight.

Keep that summer glow going with the Bronzing Powder and Plum or Camellia-colored Blush, depending on your skin tone.

Apply the blush in circular movements to the apples of your cheeks using the Blush Brush.

Then apply the Bronzing Powder from the forehead to the cheekbones, including the temples, then to the chin.

A. Lifeproof Shadow

Apply Lifeproof Shadow in taupe to the entire eyelid.

For a brighter look, add the Bronze Lifeproof Shadow to the crease of the eyelid. Repeat application until the desired intensity is achieved. Blend with your finger for a more blurred look.

B. Intense Metamorphosis Mascara

For a more intense look, apply the Intense Metamorphosis Mascara. Place the mascara brush at the base of the lashes and stroke upwards in a lightly zig-zag motion. Apply a second layer by rolling the brush from the base to the tip of the lashes, focusing on the ends in particular to amplify the color and give a multi-dimensional effect.

C. Eyebrow Mascara

Fill in your eyebrows. Naturally tint and tame your brows with the Eyebrow Mascara: its mini sculpting brush and 100% natural botanical fiber-enriched formula perfectly coats each brow hair.

A. The Rouge Elixir Nacré

For plump and luscious lips, try the Rouge Elixir Nacré. Start at the center of the lips and work outwards.

B. The Make-up fixing Mist

Finally, finish your look with the make-up fixing mist. No more make-up that wears off. Shake the Fixing mist then spray onto your face at a distance of 15-20 cm with your eyes closed.

Its added bonus: it cares for your skin by protecting it from blue light and pollution.

Terre de Femmes, the Commitment of Women

Our Brand has always supported women

Our Brand has always supported women.

Yves Rocher Foundation are the 1st sponsor and the Terre de Femmes prize for over 20 years. Women are beautiful, strong, determined, and with this distinction we have decided to encourage these laureates by commending their actions in environmental preservation.

Because they are taking action near where we live, on the other side of the world, on the streetcorner, in distant lands, we are by their side, committed as they are, by nature.

1st prize: Claire Clément, the sense of female solidarity

Claire Clément, is based in Senegal in the little village of Korientine. Her prize tells us a story of feminine solidarity: to support the economic activities of the women in the village, she has established, activities around harvesting honey, extracting essential oils, and planting trees to protect local biodiversity, but also to help women in the village through work.

In Korientine, the honey is extracted with respect for the hives, the bees, the environment, but also for the beekeepers. Nature is recovering its rights here... and women are too.

2nd prize: Alexane Heredia, blossom the future of women

Heredia has chosen to say it with flowers. Chosen as a winner for her initiative with the “Du Pain et des Roses” association based in Paris; she is committed with her whole team to help women in vulnerable situations. She helps them to train as florists in order to regain both confidence and self-sufficiency.

The association trains these future professionals in a committed, environmentally friendly approach, by highlighting the issues of sustainable flowers and the importance of floral art based on working with French, seasonal plants.

3rd prize: Caroline Barbier alongside the wild fauna

Caroline Barbier was chosen as a winner for her commitment with the association, Tétras Libre where she has established a centre for protecting wildlife since 2020 in Savoie, France. Small, big, furry or feathered, Caroline has already hosted over 900 animals.

She cares for them, gets them back on their feet, and above all works to raise the public’s awareness about the need to protect biodiversity everywhere, even close to home.

As 1st Sponsor of the Yves Rocher Foundation, we would like to congratulate all the winners and participants. We are committed beyond our product through our sponsorship of the Yves Rocher Foundation, by supporting committed actions for biodiversity and people, to always connect ourselves a little more each day to others and to nature, and to contribute to a more sustainable world.

The Genius of Plants - Ogygenation

Nasturtium has been grown across Europe for a number of years thanks to its ornamental and culinary qualities. Deep within skin, Nasturtium revitalizes skin.

The Origin of our Plant

Brittany is the perfect environment for Nasturtium to thrive. We've been growing it since 1980 in our homeland La Gacilly, using a traditional crop system designed to achieve the highest quality whilst respecting biodiversity.

The Nasturtium is grown using sustainable agricultural practices, a farming method based on a deep understanding of ecosystems that supports biodiversity. This plant has the ability to cover the soil, thus limiting water evaporation, a precious gift in the summer. Our early crop system, with sowing starting in April, allows us to preserve even more water.

Our organic and sustainable farming model has allowed us to obtain UEBT certification for our Nasturtium, as well as the rest of the ingredients we grow at La Gacilly.

Plant genius - softness

Over time, when exposed to environmental factors, both skin and hair can over time become dull, lackluster and not as soft. Calendula, an ornamental and medicinal plant, is traditionally used for its softening properties and is known for its soothing and antioxidant properties.

Our Botanical Beauty® researchers have developed a process for extracting ingredients from calendula, which allows them control every stage of production, from the field to your skin. These ingredients are then incorporated into certain Yves Rocher products, either for hair or skin care.

Plant origin

Originating from the Mediterranean region, Calendula was one of the first plants to be grown by Yves Rocher on its native land of La Gacilly, Brittany, in 1979. Its cultivation process has been carefully set out in order to guarantee the best ingredients while preserving biodiversity. Sown in the fields in April, it does not require a lot of water to blossom and the flowers are then harvested by hand in July and August.

The stems and leaves are then crushed and reincorporated straight back into the soil. Our organic and sustainable farming model has allowed us to obtain UEBT certification for our Calendula, as well as the rest of the ingredients we grow in La Gacilly. Crushing and incorporating the stems and leaves of Calendula into the soil creates a large supply of minerals that are beneficial for all those that live within it.

Our extract

You can find this marvelous ingredient in our Pur Calendula facial cleansers and our products in the Shine product line. Tests revealed that after 4 weeks of use, 82% of women who had used the product found hair to be more radiant and 88% found it shiny*.

Botanical Water Workshop in La Gacilly

Our Hydrosols: a 100% Yves Rocher, 100% Local Production!

Come and explore our botanical water workshop and discover how we make our hydrolates. A 100% Yves Rocher, 100% local production!

A new link in the Yves Rocher expertise chain, 100% local.

Committed for over 60 years, the Yves Rocher Brand defends a beauty that is ever more respectful of Man and the planet and ever closer, too, to each and every one of us. Driven by these values, the French's favorite beauty brand*, a responsible player in its environment, has chosen to set up its very first distillation workshop to manufacture its botanical waters (or hydrosols) locally, as close as possible to its production units.

These waters come from local plants cultivated by organic farming and agroecology in La Gacilly, the cradle of the Brand in Brittany. The Botanical Water Workshop is in perfect harmony with La Gacilly’s unique and virtuous panel of experts, from the seed to the beauty product.

The botanical waters produced at Yves Rocher’s Botanical Water Workshop are used in the composition of some of our products, which are also made close by, at the Villes Geffs plant in La Gacilly and Rieux. A local circuit means fewer CO2 emissions linked to the transport of goods for a more limited environmental/carbon/ecological footprint and local made in La Gacilly roots.

Botanical Distillation by Yves Rocher

This is how the Botanical Water Workshop come to be, the 100% Yves Rocher, 100% local, first botanical water production unit!

In the wake of our virtuous (industrial) model, the Botanical Water Workshop is a continuation of our agronomic system based on agroecology and biodiversity preservation.

From Our Flower Fields To Our Yves Rocher Organic Botanical Water

Developing our local plant sources as closely as possible, the Botanical Waters Workshop has been producing plant waters of Cornflower, Roman Chamomile, Matricaria Chamomile and Peppermint since spring 2020.

These essences are used in the composition of many products, or are marketed as such e.g., Cornflower plant water, known for its soothing properties.

Botanical waters make up the extracts in many Yves Rocher products!

The Pure Camomille line for the Chamomile Matricaria botanical water, the Pur Bleuet line for the Cornflower one. The purifying masks for the Pure Menthe one. As for the Roman Chamomile water, it is used in many other lines.

How are our Botanical Waters produced?

To obtain 1 ton of hydrolat, it takes 2 hours of distillation, followed by 40 minutes of filtration and pasteurization.

Do you know the difference between hydrolat, floral water, plant water or botanical water?

Hydrolat is a general term for any aqueous substance that results from the distillation of flowers or other parts of a plant. Floral water only comes from the distillation of flowers (buds).

At the Botanical Water Workshop, we distill Peppermint leaves as well as the flowering tops of Cornflower, Romain Chamomile and Matricaria Chamomile, because their properties are present in the entire plant.

So, we don’t actually produce floral water but botanical waters or plant waters, the term hydrolate can also be used.

Plant Genius : Hydration

Our botanists and phyto-analysts have found the best plant-based response to meet the challenge of skin hydration. After extensive research, they turned their attention to Edulis, a plant that contains a powerful moisturizing extract: cellular water.

An agronomic and phyto-analytical study allowed us to determine the best harvesting period and the best extraction process. Cuttings are made in March and, after only 6 months of growth in the greenhouse, the tender shoots of the plant, full of cellular water, are harvested just before flowering.

The ultra-fresh plant then goes directly onto the exclusive and patented extraction stage, solvent-free, in order to preserve the environment and the effectiveness of this extract. Thanks to a natural process in 5 steps (shredding, pressing, decanting, clarification and stabilization), cellular water.

The Origin of Our Plant

Originally from South Africa, this plant is now present on the coasts of many regions of the world. Yves Rocher’s plant biology laboratories chose, in 2012, to grow Edulis where the Brand was created, at La Gacilly in Brittany.

It is grown in greenhouses, to control the growing and propagation conditions. Our organic and sustainable farming model has allowed us to obtain UEBT certification for Edulis and all the rest of the ingredients we grow at La Gacilly.

As a participant in the preservation of the biodiversity and ecosystems of Brittany, we work in close collaboration with the National Botanical Conservatory of Brest. In 2017, we supported a study establishing an inventory of Edulis in Brittany: distribution, ecology and methods of controlling its spread at the expense of local flora. In addition, the Yves Rocher Botanical Garden in La Gacilly is home to approximately 20 threatened or endangered plant species from Brittany, France and around the world.

Our Extract

Yves Rocher Research is using Edulis to rise to the challenge: to deeply moisturize your skin.

Our Hydra Végétal line, enriched with moisture-activating Edulis Cellular Water, is ideal for plumped skin and a fresh complexion.

Our promise: skin is immediately filled with water continuously for 48 hours*.

*Clinical study conducted on 22 cases. Result 48H after 2 weeks of twice-daily application.

La Gacilly Photo Festival 2022

The love of nature on exhibition

The love of nature on exhibition

Faithful, we are. As the first sponsor of La Gacilly Photo Festival, we are proud to have supported this event that honours photography, humanity, and nature, each year since 2004.

The La Gacilly Photo Festival welcomes the public outdoors, over a summer, on our Breton land, in the heart of the village of La Gacilly.

There, where everything began, where our commitment started, where it continues. Protecting and regenerating biodiversity has always been at the heart of our commitments. It’s only natural that we would support the representation of these values through images.

Come take the time to wander the cobblestone streets of the village, get lost in the avenues and alleys and let yourself be guided, recounted, and regaled by the eye of 21 photographers invited to show off their talent on the topic and the title: “Visions d’Orient”.

From Iran, Afghanistan, or Pakistan, all of these visual artists recount, through so many stories, the state of the world, but also and especially, the beauty of our planet and the need to protect it.

And because loving nature also means thinking of the future and future generations, the other part of the festival, entitled “The world of tomorrow” displays in photographs the talents that have immortalised the jewels of biodiversity.

From the French Southern and Antarctic Lands to Bangladesh, or from the Democratic Republic of Congo to India, these images awaken our conscience, our emotions, and even more still, our love of nature.

Skin is instantly Plumped Thanks to Hyaluronic Acid

This molecule is renowned worldwide for its marvelous moisturizing benefits that help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This is mainly due to its ability to retain up to 1000 times its weight in water at the surface of skin to provide an instant plumping effect.

After a lengthy research and development phase, our researchers selected a wheat and corn glucose biofermentation process. This transformation process is traditional, positive, natural, highly effective and enhances the ingredients.

The result: 100% natural hyaluronic acid obtained from biofermentation with formidable effectiveness used to enrich all the Filler Végétal formulas.
