Plant Genius : Hydration<\/h2>\n

Our botanists<\/strong> and phyto-analysts<\/strong> have found the best plant-based response to meet the challenge of skin hydration<\/strong>. After extensive research<\/strong>, they turned their attention to Edulis<\/strong>, a plant that contains a powerful moisturizing extract: cellular water<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

An agronomic<\/strong> and phyto-analytical study<\/strong> allowed us to determine the best harvesting period<\/strong> and the best extraction process<\/strong>. Cuttings are made in March<\/strong> and, after only 6 months of growth in the greenhouse<\/strong>, the tender shoots of the plant, full of cellular water, are harvested just before flowering<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The ultra-fresh plant<\/strong> then goes directly onto the exclusive and patented extraction stage, solvent-free<\/strong>, in order to preserve the environment and the effectiveness of this extract. Thanks to a natural process in 5 steps<\/strong> (shredding, pressing, decanting, clarification and stabilization), cellular water.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Origin of Our Plant<\/h2>\n

Originally from South Africa<\/strong>, this plant is now present on the coasts<\/strong> of many regions of the world. Yves Rocher\u2019s plant biology laboratories chose, in 2012<\/strong>, to grow Edulis where the Brand was created<\/strong>, at La Gacilly<\/strong> in Brittany<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is grown in greenhouses<\/strong>, to control the growing<\/strong> and propagation conditions<\/strong>. Our organic and sustainable farming model<\/strong> has allowed us to obtain UEBT certification<\/strong><\/a> for Edulis<\/strong> and all the rest of the ingredients we grow at La Gacilly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As a participant in the preservation of the biodiversity and ecosystems of Brittany, we work in close collaboration with the N<\/strong>ational<\/strong>\u00a0Botanical Conservatory of Brest<\/strong><\/a>. In 2017, we supported a study establishing an inventory of Edulis in Brittany<\/strong>: distribution, ecology and methods of controlling its spread at the expense of local flora. In addition, the Yves Rocher Botanical Garden<\/a> in La Gacilly is home to approximately 20 threatened or endangered plant species<\/em> from Brittany, France and around the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
