A new link in the Yves Rocher expertise chain, 100% local.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Committed for over 60 years, the Yves Rocher Brand defends a beauty<\/strong> that is ever more respectful of Man and the planet<\/strong> and ever closer, too, to each and every one of us. Driven by these values, the French's favorite beauty brand*, a responsible player in its environment<\/strong>, has chosen to set up its very first distillation workshop to manufacture its botanical waters (or hydrosols) locally, as close as possible to its production units.<\/p>\n

These waters come from local plants cultivated by organic farming and agroecology in La Gacilly<\/strong>, the cradle of the Brand in Brittany. The Botanical Water Workshop<\/strong> is in perfect harmony with La Gacilly\u2019s unique and virtuous panel of experts, from the seed to the beauty product.<\/p>\n

The botanical waters produced at Yves Rocher\u2019s Botanical Water Workshop are used in the composition of some of our products<\/strong>, which are also made close by, at the Villes Geffs plant in La Gacilly and Rieux. A local circuit means fewer CO2 emissions<\/strong> linked to the transport of goods for a more limited environmental\/carbon\/ecological footprint and local made in La Gacilly roots.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Botanical Distillation by Yves Rocher <\/strong><\/h2>\n

This is how the Botanical Water Workshop come to be, the 100% Yves Rocher<\/strong>, 100% local, first botanical water production unit!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the wake of our virtuous (industrial) model, the Botanical Water Workshop is a continuation of our agronomic system based on agroecology and biodiversity preservation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

From Our Flower Fields To Our Yves Rocher Organic Botanical Water<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Developing our local plant sources as closely as possible, the Botanical Waters Workshop has been producing plant waters of Cornflower, Roman Chamomile, Matricaria Chamomile and Peppermint<\/strong> since spring 2020.<\/p>\n

These essences are used in the composition of many products<\/strong>, or are marketed as such e.g., Cornflower plant water, known for its soothing properties.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Botanical waters make up the extracts in many Yves Rocher products<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The Pure Camomille line<\/strong><\/a> for the Chamomile Matricaria botanical water<\/strong>, the Pur Bleuet line for the Cornflower<\/strong> <\/a>one. The purifying masks for the Pure Menthe<\/a><\/strong> one. As for the Roman Chamomile water<\/strong>, it is used in many other lines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

How are our Botanical Waters produced?<\/h2>\n

To obtain 1 ton of hydrolat, it takes 2 hours of distillation, followed by 40 minutes of filtration and pasteurization.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you know the difference between hydrolat, floral water, plant water or botanical water?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hydrolat is a general term for any aqueous substance that results from the distillation of flowers or other parts of a plant. Floral water only comes from the distillation of flowers (buds).<\/p>\n

At the Botanical Water Workshop, we distill Peppermint<\/strong> leaves as well as the flowering tops of Cornflower<\/strong>, Romain Chamomile<\/strong> and Matricaria Chamomile<\/strong>, because their properties are present in the entire plant.<\/p>\n

So, we don\u2019t actually produce floral water but botanical waters<\/strong><\/em> or plant waters<\/strong><\/em>, the term hydrolate<\/strong><\/em> can also be used.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
