Monoi, a Protected Designation of Origin <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Traditional Monoi de Tahiti<\/strong> is derived from the ancestral beauty ritual of the Tahitian women<\/strong>. It is synonymous with care<\/strong>, naturalness<\/strong>, and pleasant fragrance<\/strong> capable of transporting you to the paradise islands of Polynesia in a few moments.<\/p>\n

For more than 35 years, Yves Rocher has been sourcing Monoi through a responsible supply chain<\/strong>. The deliciously fragrant Tiare flowers are harvested by hand<\/strong> at the bud stage to preserve their freshness. Their transformation into Monoi oil is done according to a precise and controlled protocol<\/strong> which consists in macerating them in Coprah oil<\/strong> (sun-dried coconut pulp) for 10 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Tiare flower used in the manufacture of Monoi de Tahiti<\/strong>, certified and protected<\/strong> by a Protected Designation of Origin<\/strong> (PDO), is found only in Polynesia.
